We have been working in Yamal since 2006. We started with the construction of the Purpe oil pumping station. For all years, at least 25 facilities were built and launched there. But two of them I consider especially important.

One of them is the Yamal LNG project, the locomotive of Russia's industrial construction. Thanks to this facility, our country has taken serious positions in the LNG market. Severe weather conditions, complex technological operations and stringent requirements for the quality of work - all this did not prevent the engineering and technical personnel of the company, the number of which at peak times reached 3,000 people, to successfully complete the construction in a fairly short time - in just 3 years. ‘It is a great honor for Trust Koksokhimmontazh JSC to contribute to the most important project for the Russian economy and industry, which is a historic milestone and a reference point for LNG production in the Arctic.

And the second large-scale project is the development of the Novoportovskoye field. The customer is Gazprom Neft. We started it in 2015. At the initial stage, we had a small amount of work, and as a result, we became the main contractor.

We implemented 3 completely different in technology, but equally large-scale, projects to create oil and gas infrastructure at the Novoportovskoye field, directly affecting the possibility of increasing oil production and supply to the markets of Northern Europe.

These are the projects for the construction of the Central Production Facility (CPF), which includes an oil fleet with a total volume of 80 thousand m3 with all engineering systems necessary for safe operation, as well as a unique installation as part of the ‘Complex of gas and condensate compression and treatment facilities’ designed for drying, cleaning, compressing gas to a pressure of 27.5 MPa and injecting it into the reservoir. The main element of the GPF process chain was the construction of 8 GPA-32 Ladoga gas pumping units, the weight of individual units of which reached 60 tons.

Crude oil delivery and acceptance point (CODAP) intended for the reception, heating, storage and commercial accounting of marketable oil is located directly on the shore of the Gulf of Ob, where oil arrives from Central Production Facility (CPF) of the Novoportovskoye field, before it is shipped at the crude oil loading terminal.

These 2 facilities are the cornerstone of work on the Yamal Peninsula. In both cases, we attracted significant resources. If we talk about other important projects - less large-scale, but no less significant for the customer and for Yamal itself - we can mention the development of the Yarudeysky, Yaro-Yakhinsky and North-Russian deposits.

You just have to cope with these difficulties. This is the north: it is cruel and does not forgive mistakes. The most important thing here is competent preparation of production. Many objects in the region are far from transport and logistics infrastructure. There are only two options for the delivery of building materials and cargo: it is either navigation or ice road. Therefore, preparation of production at remote sites is of paramount importance. It is necessary to ensure mobilization correctly, correctly envisage the complete set of facilities, and correctly think out logistic schemes.

Over 15 years, the requirements of customers have certainly changed. And they are all different, with a different approach to construction. For example, NOVATEK builds facilities as soon as possible. It is important to focus all your knowledge - to supply the object with materials on time, to organize the entire process competently - so that the object is built in one year instead of the standard one and a half years. Gazprom Neft, for example, has very developed quality standards in the areas of industrial and environmental safety and labor protection. We started working with them in 2015–2016, and over 5 years they, of course, have made a significant leap among Russian companies in this regard.

Yes, we do. Now we are building the Tazovsky PSP for Gazprom Neft, and all the equipment comes with maximum operational readiness. I believe that such facilities should be built just like that. This is definitely the right way. Now everyone will gradually switch to an enlarged assembly and supply of equipment of maximum operational readiness.

There are several stages of quality control. The first is the incoming inspection: upon delivery, the material is inspected, and a visual inspection takes place. A quality control service also operates in the production. In addition, there is an independent laboratory checking the quality of welded joints of pipelines and metal structures. Now the customer is increasingly reinforcing quality requirements, the security of the facility depends on this. This is our priority.

The management of the Trust considers environmental friendliness one of its most important tasks in the construction of facilities. Trust KKHM JSC carries out construction work in such a way as to minimize the possibility of harm to the environment. And, first of all, due to compliance with the requirements of environmental legislation of the Russian Federation, relevant internal corporate requirements and standards in the field of environmental protection, rational nature management. Yamal has additional requirements. We have changed, for example, the principle of residential towns. Now they are not trailers with a toilet on the street, but complex hostels with all the amenities inside, where you can live in comfortable conditions. We collect waste water centrally. We buy a comprehensive cleaning system with a high degree of efficiency, and we try to involve purified water as much as possible in the repeated process, for example, in the manufacture of concrete. Thus, rational use of natural resources is carried out, water discharge to soak away are excluded.

Yes, we do! We collect solid household waste, pack it in containers, take it to the ground and give for disposal to specialized organizations.

This option is not for the north. Still, there are temperatures from +30 to -50 ºС. The equipment involved in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District works specifically on diesel fuel. To switch to a gas engine we need gas stations, that is, a whole range of services should be developed in the region. On Yamal, only the first steps are being taken in this direction.

The ecology department operating at Trust Koksokhimmontazh JSC has productive and constant contact with regional authorities that carry out environmental supervision in the Yamal Peninsula. As part of the work, in all cases Koksokhimmontazh agrees the necessary standards for permissible impact on environmental components, developing and submitting relevant projects in the field of environmental protection to the authorities.

In addition, as part of the preparation and formation of global projects to improve the quality of the environment and modernize waste management systems in the country, the authorized regional authorities request information on aspects of the activities carried out by organizations in the controlled territory. TRUST KKHM JSC provides the complete and most important transparent provision of information on the volumes of generated waste introduced by the systems for their collection and disposal introduced at construction sites.

In my opinion, about 80% of large energy projects are concentrated in Yamal. Our company, like Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, this year celebrates 90th anniversary. And we have been working in this region for more than 15 years. And now it gives us a load of about 50% of the total amount of work. That is, Yamal is very important for us, especially if we take into account our strategic relations with the main customers working there – Gazprom Neft and NOVATEK.
